Also, Harvard professor Sarah Lazar PhD talks in simple (understandable!) terms about her research, reporting that mindfulness meditation helps us to de-stress by reducing levels of the hormone cortisol.
Dr Lazar also recommends learning mindfulness with a qualified teacher, then using apps to supplement the teaching.
